I just like building things. Lately that's mostly AI agents, but I'm just as happy in a Go backend, a data pipeline, or a dashboard. If something looks interesting at 2AM, I'm probably already poking at it :)
I keep things simple. Focus on what I can control, do it well, and let the rest go. For 8+ years that's meant writing code for Google's global office network, plus a stint in fintech at Xendit. Quiet, reliable systems that people only notice when they break, so I build them not to.
I think before I build. I write the plan first (10+ design docs so far), and I hold Google Readability in Go and TypeScript, which means I spend part of my week helping teammates make their code a little better.
Today I lead a team of 5 engineers and serve as our Scrum Master. My favorite recent work is an AI coding agent that picks up tickets, writes and tests the fix, and hands it to a human for review. The machines take the repetitive work. I get my evenings back.
Outside of that, I build NCMH Usap Tayo, a mental health platform for the Philippine Department of Health. Work that helps people is worth the time.
